In a heart-stopping moment, two bikers were chased by a tiger in Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary in Wayanad (Kerala) on June 30. The animal chased them for few seconds but then disappeared in the jungle.

According to The Republic World report, the bikers were officials of the forest department and had received a tip-off regarding tiger sightings in the area. The officials, apparently on patrolling duty in the sanctuary, were absolutely unaware of what they were about to encounter.

The video has been shared on Instagram with over one lakh views. According to an Indian Express report,  the video was filmed by a forest official from South Wayanad division’s Chethalath range.

Forests and Wildlife Protection Society (FAWPS) – an NGO working towards the protection of forests and wildlife- shared the video on their Facebook page. Meanwhile, Twitter users were left shocked by the video.
