Vajpayee death: TN declares one-day state holiday, schools, colleges to remain closed

In wake of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's death on Thursday at the age of 93 in Delhi, the Tamil Nadu government has declared one-day state holiday during which educational institutions like schools and colleges and government offices would remain closed for Friday.

Vajpayee was a three-time former Prime Minister of the country who passed away due to age-related ailment at AIIMS, Delhi.

However, an official release said that treasuries with limited staff would function for Friday.
