VIDEO: 14-year-Old Trichy girl Burnt to Death - Update on Police investigation and People protests!

A 14 year-old girl’s charred corpse was found in a barren land near her house, on Monday, July 6 at Trichy district.

The 14-year-old girl was studying in class nine, at a nearby school which has been closed due to the on-going global pandemic. Hence, she was found playing with her friends on Monday. In the afternoon, she went back home and left her residence one again in order to take out the waste. However, she did not return until the evening hours of the day.

Soon, her family began searching for her, and found her corpse, charred at the barren land. The police station was informed.

Speaking of the incident, the police said that her body has been sent for examination to the government hospital. A case of rape and murder can only be confirmed after the report arrives, said an official.

Concerned police officials have also began investigating the case. They have questioned two of the family members who identified the girl’s corpse in the barren land.

A similar incident had taken place a few days ago in Pudukottai. These two subsequent incidents have shook the residents. Further, the residents have been staging a protest, demanding the police to find out the perpetuators and arrest them immediately.
