A train carrying cargo crashed into an electric train engine near Erode railway station, say reports. The cargo train was transporting oil from Irumanam in Kerala to Bengaluru in Karnataka.
The train accidentally hit the electric train engine, which was coming by the side from the opposite direction. As a result of the force of the hit, the train engine suffered a heavy damage. The engine also reportedly went off the tracks.
Later, railway officials rushed to the spot and were involved in repairing the damaged engine.
