Top Maoist trainer arrested near Coimbatore!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsThe Special Task Force of the state arrested Deepak, a senior Maoist leader who escaped from a Kerala forest two weeks ago, reports The Hindu.
He belongs to Dandakaranya Special Zonal Committee (DKSZC) of the CPI (Maoist). Four other Maoists were gunned down during the encounter.
The police said that the team spotted 3 armed strangers who ran away after seeing STF team. Deepak fell into a gorge and sustained injuries. Reportedly, Deepak is from Chhattisgarh.
Additional Director General of Police told The Hindu that his arrest was a big catch and he is likely to be booked under various sections.
