In what comes as a major relief for some students and parents, the Director of Matriculation Schools has issued a directive to private schools in the state, saying that special classes in the morning and evening, before actual classes are to begin for the day, can't be held, owing to the stress it causes to students, particularly for those in Classes 10-12 according to a report in The Times of India.
This has drawn mixed reactions - while some welcome the move citing that students can't just study for long hours and ignore extra-curriculars, some others have opposed the same saying students need extra coaching for competitive exams like NEET and JEE.
