TN Youth and Wife Chopped to Death by Husband

A 45-year-old woman and 28-year old youth were brutally chopped to death by the former's husband for involving in a love affair. The incident happened in Kovilpatti, Thoothukudi district on February 16 early morning, reports Polimer.

The married couple Shanmugam and Mariyammal were living in the Pungavar Natham Village near Ottabiram. Reportedly Mariyammal (45) had developed an affair with Ramamurthy (28) who was residing opposite to her house.

Today Shanmugam woke up early in the morning and was shocked to the core to see his wife Mariyammal with Ramamurthy in the next room.

An outraged Shanmugam picked a sickle and chopped the head of Ramamurthy before murdering his wife with the same weapon as per the report. Followed by the incident, Shanmugam went to Pasuvandhanai police station and surrendered himself.
