TN Higher Education Dept Clarifies on College, University Semester Exams Schedule!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsTamil Nadu Higher Education Minister KP Anbazhagan on Thursday said college/university semester exams for the current academic year will be conducted as soon as the next academic years begins. He also said higher educational institutions will reopen only in June.
This comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced an extension of the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown till 3 May.
The School Education Department had earlier clarified that public exams for class 10 students were not cancelled but postponed owing to the pandemic triggered lockdown.
Tamil Nadu as of 4 PM - 16 April, has recorded 1267 positive cases of COVID-19 of which 180 patients have been discharged following treatment. A total of 15 patients have succumbed to the virus till date.
