COVID-19 in TN: District Wise Breakup, Total Positive Cases, Deaths and Recoveries as on Sept 29

Tamil Nadu on Tuesday, September 29, reported 5,546 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state to 5,91,943.

The following is the COVID-19 statistics that has been shared by the Health Department of Tamil Nadu:   

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -   46,281. 

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 3,57,253 / 2,34,659 / 31.  

 - Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities – 186 (66 Govt + 120 Private).  

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –   72,67,122.    

- Total number of samples tested today – 85,997. 
   
- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date –   70,50,820.  

- Total number of persons tested today –   84,163.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 5,36,209.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today –  5,501.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 70 (29 Private & 41 Govt) / total 9,453.
