COVID-19 in TN: District Wise Breakup, Total Positive Cases, Deaths and Recoveries as on Sept 28

Tamil Nadu on Monday, September 28, reported 5,589 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state to 5,86,397.  

The following is the COVID-19 statistics that has been shared by the Health Department of Tamil Nadu:   

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -  46,306. 

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 3,53,858 / 2,32,508 / 31.  

 - Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities – 184 (66 Govt + 118 Private).  

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –   71,81,125.  

- Total number of samples tested today – 80,465. 
   
- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date –   69,66,657.  

- Total number of persons tested today –   78,614.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 5,30,708.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today –  5,554.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 70 (29 Private & 41 Govt) / total 9,383.
