COVID-19 in TN: District Wise Breakup, Total Positive Cases, Deaths and Recoveries as on Sept 22

Tamil Nadu on Tuesday, September 22, reported  5,337 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state to 5,52,674.   

The following is the COVID-19 statistics that has been shared by the Health Department of Tamil Nadu:   

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -  46,350. 

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 3,33,187 / 2,19,457 / 30.  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –176 (66 Govt + 110 Private).    

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –   66,40,058.  

- Total number of samples tested today – 84,730. 
   
- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date –  64,36,700.  

- Total number of persons tested today –  82,928.   

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 4,97,377.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today –  5,406.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 76 (32 Private & 44 Govt) / total 8,947.
