COVID-19 in TN: District Wise Breakup, Total Positive Cases, Deaths and Recoveries as on Sept 21

Tamil Nadu on Monday, September 21, reported 5,344 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state to 5,47,337.   

The following is the COVID-19 statistics that has been shared by the Health Department of Tamil Nadu:   

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -  46,495. 

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 3,29,959  /2,17,348 / 30.  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –174 (66 Govt + 108 Private).  

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –   65,55,328.  

- Total number of samples tested today – 80,672. 
   
- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date –   63,53,772.  

- Total number of persons tested today –  78,841.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 4,91,971.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today –  5,492.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 60 (29 Private &31 Govt) / total 8,871.
