COVID-19 in TN: District Wise Breakup, Total Positive Cases, Deaths and Recoveries as on Sept 12

Tamil Nadu on Saturday, September 12, reported 5,495 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state to 4,97,066.  

The following is the COVID-19 statistics that has been shared by the Health Department of Tamil Nadu:   

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -   47,110.   

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –    2,99,791 / 1,97,246 / 29.  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –167 (65 Govt + 102 Private). 

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –   58,03,778.  

- Total number of samples tested today –  88,562.     

- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date –     56,19,012.  

- Total number of persons tested today –   86,486.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date –  4,41,649.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today –    6,227.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 76 (37 Private & 39 Govt) / total 8,307.
