COVID-19 in TN: District Wise Breakup, Total Positive Cases, Deaths and Recoveries as on Sept 10

Tamil Nadu on Thursday, September 10, reported 5,528 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state to 4,86,052. 

The following is the COVID-19 statistics that has been shared by the Health department of Tamil Nadu:   

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -  48,482.  

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –     2,93,154 / 1,92,869 / 29.  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –163 (64 Govt + 99 Private).  

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –   56,30,323.  

- Total number of samples tested today – 85,473.     

- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date –     54,49,635.  

- Total number of persons tested today –   83,411.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date–  4,29,416.    

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today –   6,185.    

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 64 (22 Private & 42 Govt) / total 8,154.

Coimbatore -                         20,355  (440 today)  
Erode -                               4,079  (32 today)
Chengalpattu -                          29,223  ( 279 today)

Madurai -                               14,904  (61 today)
Salem -                                12,873   (300 today) 
Vellore -                               11,958  (149 today) 
Ramanathapuram -            4,946 (53 today) 
Kancheepuram -                18,791  (173 today)
