COVID-19 in TN: District Wise Breakup, Total Positive Cases, Deaths and Recoveries as on Oct 5

Tamil Nadu on Monday, October 5, reported 5,395 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state to 6,25,391.

The following is the COVID-19 statistics that has been shared by the Health Department of Tamil Nadu:   

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -  45,881. 

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 3,77,541 / 2,47,819 / 31.  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –189 (66 Govt + 123 Private).  

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –     77,82,736.  

- Total number of samples tested today – 82,725. 
   
- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date –   75,55,282.   

- Total number of persons tested today –  80,868.    

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 5,69,664.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 5,572.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 62 (31 Private & 31 Govt) / total 9,846.
