TN boy Sujith stuck in borewell dies - over 80 hours rescue operation fails!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsA 2-year-old boy named Sujith Wilson from Trichy Tamil Nadu fell into a 600-feet abandoned borewell while playing nearby his home around 5.40 pm on Friday.
Rescue operations started and the team drilled a 1-metre-wide tunnel parallel to the borewell to reach the boy. However, Sujith, who was stuck at 35 feet, slipped further to about 90 feet. Initally they boy was heard crying but later he fainted. Oxygen was supplied to him.
Tamil Nadu Relief Commissioner Radhakrishnan said that on Tuesday that the boy had died. His body has started decomposing and has started stinking.
The child got affected as the borewell was too narrow. He has said that about 10 pm on Monday, the body started to stink. Rescue operations were on for over 80 hours.
