TamilNadu Plus One Result 2020: Did Girls score Better than Boys? Overall Pass Percentage, Results and Other Details Listed

The Tamil Nadu Board exam results for 11th grade (Plus One examination) was announced at 9:30 am on Friday. Over 9 lakh students have appeared for the plus one examination. The results for class 12 re-sit candidates has also been released along with class 11 results. 

This year the pass percentage has touched 96.04%. The pass percentage has improved by one percent in comparison to the previous year. 

Girls have outperformed boys since they have registered a pass percentage of 97.49 percent. The pass percentage of boys is 94.38 percent. “The pass percentage among government schools stood at 92.71 per cent, while it was recorded to be 96.95 among the private schools. The overall passing percentage stands at 96.04 per cent,” The New Indian Express reported.

The result are available at the websites- dge.tn.gov.in, tnresults.nic.in. In order to check the results, students will have to log in to the websites. Click on the ‘download’ result link. Enter the registration number/ roll number. The result will appear on the screen. Download it, and take a print out for further reference. 

The students will also be receiving the results via SMS to the mobile number registered with the board. Plus One examination was held in March but it was discontinued due to COVID19 pandemic. To pass the exam, students are expected to score 35 out of 100 marks.

The pass percentage stood at 95 percent last year.
