TN Reports Big COVID-19 Spike! Details of New Cases, Recoveries and Deaths Listed
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsTamil Nadu on Wednesday, 27 May, reported 817 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state 18,545.
Of the 817 fresh cases, 139 are passengers returned from other States (Maharashtra - 138, Kerala - 1).
Six persons succumbed to the virus on the date taking the death toll of the state to 133.
The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of 27 May:
Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) - 8500
Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive today – 508/309/0
Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 11,725/6815/5
Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities – 70 (42 government and 28 private)
Total number of samples tested till date – 4,42,970
Total number of samples tested today – 11,231
Total number of persons tested till date – 4,23,018
Total number of persons tested today – 10,661
Total number of suspected individuals in isolation ward admission – 5771
Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 9909
Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 567
