COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu Today: Check Positive Cases, Deaths And Recoveries As On Sept 8  

Tamil Nadu on Tuesday, September 8, reported 5,684 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 4,74,940. 

The following is the COVID-19 statistics as of September 8, that has been shared by the Health department of Tamil Nadu: 

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -  50,213.   

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –   2,86,383 / 1,88,528 / 29.   

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –163 (64 Govt + 99 Private) 

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –   54,62,277.  

- Total number of samples tested today – 83,266.   

 - Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date –     52,85,823.  

- Total number of persons tested today –   81,066.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date–  4,16,715.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today –   6,599.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 87 (43 Private & 44 Govt) / total 8,012.
