COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu Today: Check Positive Cases, Deaths And Recoveries As On Sept 1   

Tamil Nadu on Tuesday, September 1, reported 5,928 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 4,33,969.  

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of September 1: 

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -   52,379.  

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –   2,62,223 / 1,71,717 / 29.  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –152 (63 Govt + 89 Private) 

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –   48,88,312.  

- Total number of samples tested today – 75,165.   

 - Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date –   47,26,022.   

- Total number of persons tested today –   73,155.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 3,74,172.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 6,031.  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 96 (35 Private & 61 Govt)  / total 7,418.
