TN Reports 'Highest Ever Deaths' Today - Positive Cases, Recoveries and Other details as on July 17

Tamil Nadu on Friday, July 17, reported 4,538  new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 1,60,907. 

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of July 17:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -   47,782* 

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –    98,063 / 62,821 / 23  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –109 (55 Govt + 54 Private)  

- Total number of samples tested till date –    18,31,304 

- Total number of samples tested today –  48,669    

- Total number of persons tested till date – 17,56,998 

- Total number of persons tested today – 47,539 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 1,10,807 

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 3,391  

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 79 (23 Private and 56 Govt) / total 2,315
