COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu Today: Check Positive Cases, Deaths And Recoveries As On August 24   

Tamil Nadu on Monday, August 24, reported 5,967 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 3,85,352.  

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of August 24:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -   53,282.   

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –  2,32,679 / 1,52,644 / 29.  

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –140 (63 Govt + 77 Private) 

- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date  –    42,76,640.  

- Total number of samples tested today –  70,023.   

 - Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date – 41,31,604.  

- Total number of persons tested today –   67,980.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date–  3,25,456.  

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 6,129.   

- Total number of deaths today / till date - 97 (30 Private & 67 Govt) / total 6,614.
