Lockdown Extended Beyond July 31 in Tamil Nadu? : CM Palaniswami’s Plans!

Due to the increase in the spread of the novel coronavirus infection, various districts across Tamil Nadu have been under a lockdown with minimal restrictions. However, every Sunday a complete lockdown is being observed.
Under the current circumstances, Tamil Nadu’s CM Edappadi K Palaniswami has planned on meeting with medical experts in order to decide on the next course of actions. The current lockdown protocols will end on July 31. Hence, a new set of guidelines are likely to be released by the state government within the next two days.
CM Palaniswami is meeting with the district collectors to discuss the progress and shortcomings from each of their respective regimes. On July 30, he is meeting with the medical experts in order to decide based upon the insights provided by the district collectors.
The decision on whether the lockdown is extended beyond the end of this month is anticipated by July 30.
