Breaking: Tamil Nadu CM makes Big Announcement for Student Nethra!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsThe 13-year-old from Madurai, Tamil Nadu who inspired her father to give away the money that he had saved up for her studies, for feeding those in need during this lockdown; has now been appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador for poor by the United Nations Association for Development.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his ‘Mann ki Baat’ addressed this gesture and appreciated her for helping those in need, during these difficult times.
Adding to this, the Tamil Nadu CM announced that the state government will completely sponsor her education. All expenses with regards to Nethra’s education henceforth will be incurred by the state government. She had also expressed her keen interest in studying to be an IAS officer.
