22 bye-poll election results! How many do EPS and Stalin need for majority? Will the state's fate change?

Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu are two years away but the 22 by-polls results is likely to decide the fate of the state and the EPS government.
Depending on the bypoll results, there could be change in government, continuity or political instability in the state. AIADMK has 113 seats, excluding the assembly Speaker, and will need to win at least 5 of the 22 seats to retain majority in the 235-member House. Currently, ADMK is leading in 8, initially it was 9.
If one were to take into account the number of AIADMK MLAs who could switch loyalties to the faction Sasikala’s nephew TTV Dhinakaran leads, Palaniswami would need to win more than 5 assembly seats on Thursday, reports Economic Times.
Jayalalithaa-led AIADMK had secured 136 seats in 2016, but 18 MLAs owing allegiance to Dhinakaran broke away in September 2017, months after her death, which led to her successor EPS losing majority in the assembly. Later, they were disqualified and hence the reelection is conducted.
