FACT CHECK: 'Important Update' by Son SP Charan on Singer SPB's Health Condition - Details

Many media reports published on Monday stated that SP Charan had released a statement announcing that his father’s health condition has improved and he has tested negative for COVID-19. However, SP Charan while speaking to Polimer TV and other news channels confirmed that the news regarding SPB’s recovery is a rumour and confirmed that his father’s health condition has not improved.
Media reports published by News 7, Zee News and few other media organizations on Monday, had mentioned that S P Balasubramaniam has tested negative for COVID-19 and is in a stable condition now. According to those media reports, his son SP Charan announced in a statement that his father was earlier on ventilator support in the ICU but he has successfully recovered. "Thanks for your continuous support and prayers for my father. My father is fine and stable, and his coronavirus test has become negative... Will keep you posted about the updates," Zee News quoted SP Charan's statement.
However, SP Charan has recently denied those claims and confirmed that his father's health condition has not improved.
