Road traffic diversion in Chennai due to former CM Jayalalitha's death anniversary
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsFollowing former CM late Jayalalitha's death anniversary, traffic around Marina has been diverted to avoid congestion as people will come to pay their respects at her memorial.
Many people, party members and politicians will be seen paying their respects at Jayalalitha's memorial on Thursday. Also, large number of volunteers may congregate on Kamarajar Salai and Wallajah Road; hence traffic has been diverted.
The following changes have been made:
The vehicles from north will be diverted at War Memorial towards Flag Staff road, Anna Salai.
Vehicles from Muthusamy point will be not allowed to enter into Flag Staff Road and diverted at Wallajah Point towards Anna Salai.
Vehicles coming from Vivekanandar Illam will be diverted at Kannagi Statue Junction towards Bharathi Salai, Tower Clock.
Vehicles from Nappier Bridge will be diverted from Adams point to Swami Sivananda Salai.
Vehicles coming from south may be stopped at Gandhi Statue and diverted to Radhakrishna Salai.
