Rajinikanth's 'Take on' the Tasmac: Actor advises the Ruling Party; Netizens Respond!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsActor Rajinikanth, posted a tweet today in which he took a stance against the ruling party. In his tweet he mentions that the state should not re-open TASMAC at this juncture. If they intend to do so, coming to power again would be a distant dream.
His tweet comes as a response to the TASMAC row in Tamil Nadu. Earlier this week, the Madras High Court ruled the immediate closure of all TASMAC outlets across the state.
The Tamil Nadu government filed an appeal before the Supreme Court challenging the judgement passed by the Madras High Court. SC is likely to hear the case on Monday.
Reportedly, protests have erupted in some parts of the state, as a response to the High Court’s judgement on closure of TASMACs.
The Madras High Court’s judgement came on Friday, two days after the court ordered in favour of opening the shops. The government had ordered social distancing to be maintained while standing in queues which was not followed.
As per Media Reports, the Tamil Nadu Government earned Rs 172 crore on the first day of sales.
