Rajinikanth to Launch His Political Party; To Contest Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections in 2021

After a long wait and years of speculation, Superstar Rajinikanth took to social media stating that he would announce his long-anticipated political party on December 31 and launch it in January, 2021.

This big announcement comes a day after Rajinikanth met senior office bearers of his forum, the Rajini Makkal Mandram. Yesterday, he said "will announce my decision soon" on his plans for electoral politics.

"District office bearers expressed their opinions. They have said they will agree to whatever decision I take. I will announce my decision as soon as possible," Rajinikanth told reporters outside his residence in Chennai.

"A political party will be launched in January; Announcement regarding it will be made on December 31st," the south Indian superstar said in a tweet.

While speaking to reporters in Chennai, Rajinikanth said: "The time has come to change the fate of Tamil Nadu. Political and government change in the state is important. It will surely change. The political change is important and is compulsion of time. If not now, it is not possible ever. Everything has to be changed. We will change everything."

He further appealed all to support him to bring in the change. "I am just a small instrument in the change. If I win then it is people's victory," he added.
