Police Reveal 'Shocking' Details in Pudukkottai 7-yr-Old Rape and Murder Case! - Update

A 7–year-old girl from Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu was raped and murdered brutally. The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights begun probing into the case.

According to the police, the victim was playing outside her home on Tuesday. Her father who is a daily wage worker had left for work and her mother, was mentally sick and resting at home. However, shortly after the child went out to play, she failed to return home. Her parents filed a complaint with the police on the same day.

On Wednesday, the police found the child’s dead body with several injuries. On Thursday, the police had arrested 3 people, suspecting a gang rape.

The police arrested the family’s neighbour as a suspect among the three and conducted interrogation. It was then confirmed that it was the neighbour, a flower vendor who had raped the child and killed her. Reports suggest that he had left bite marks all over the victim’s body and had slit her throat when she tried to scream. After raping and killing her, he left her body to rot. He confessed to the crime.

Charges have been pressed against him.

Further, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, K.Palaniswami announced a solatium of Rs.5 lakh to the victim’s family.
