Man 'sacrifices' pregnant wife to become millionaire

In a country where a lot of people are superstitious, one is never short of hearing bizarre and horrific stories and one such is of a 32-year-old man in Puducherry who sacrified his pregnant wife on the orders of a self-styled Godman who said he'd become a millionaire if he did so. 

The deceased has been identified as Krishnaveni, wife of Ashokraj, a mother of two children and pregnant with the third.

However, it was the Godman who performed some fake stunts on the woman before slitting her throat. The murder came to light when the husband filed a missing person report at the local police station.
