Star of TNPL 2019 but Unsold in IPL 2020; Who is Periyaswamy?

Periyaswamy played for Chennai Chepauk Super Kings in this year's TNPL edition. He is known for his precise bowling action and picking quick wickets.
Periyaswamy turned the heads of cricket fraternity in the final match of TNPL by picking 5 crucial wickets. He was named the man of the match and also the player of the TNPL series 2019.
Periyaswamy has a slight defect in his left eyes which did not stop him from pursuing his career. Despite his commendable performance and notable achievement in the TNPL, he was not selected in the IPL 2020 Auction by any team.
However, Periyaswamy has not lost confidence and is continuing Textile looming business in his native village Desavillaku, Salem District. Meanwhile, he is also involving himself in net practice to stay in touch with the game.
