Among 15 Hottest Cities In The World, 10 Are In India! How Many Are in TN? - Check List
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsAmid the deadly coronavirus outbreak, intense heatwave has swept through several parts of north and west India. As per weather monitoring website El Dorado, out of the 15 hottest cities in the world in the last 24 hours, 10 cities were in India.
Taking a look at the list below:
Rajasthan’s Churu city, recorded India's highest temperature of 50 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. As per experts, Churu's temperature was matched by Jacobabad in Pakistan, which stands to be the hottest city on Earth.
Coming to the other cities, Bikaner, Ganganagar and Pilani from Rajasthan also recorded highest temperature. While, two other cities were from Uttar Pradesh and two from Maharashtra.
Talking of high temperature, Uttar Pradesh’s Banda and Hisar in Haryana recorded extreme temperatures of 48 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. While, the others to join the list were New Delhi at 47.6 degrees Celsius, Bikaner at 47.4 degrees Celsius, Ganganagar at 47 degrees Celsius, Jhansi at 47 degrees Celsius, Pilani at 46.9 degrees Celsius, Nagpur Sonegaon at 46.8 degrees Celsius and Akola 46.5 degrees Celsius, reports Hindustan Times.
Meanwhile, as per News Today report, the Met officials have warned that heat wave will occur in five districts of the Tamilnadu, which are Madurai, Tiruchi, Karur, Erode and Vellore. Since the past few days, temperature has reached its peak in places like Tiruttani and Chennai as well.
