Breaking: No Exams, Class 1 to Class 9 Students in TN to be declared 'Pass'!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsThe Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday announced that students between class 1 and class 9 from both public and private schools will be declared "Pass" without annual examinations.
Students who could not attend their +2 examination on Monday can do the same on a date that will be announced by the government soon.
Of the 8,35,525 students who had registered for the +2 examinations in Tamil Nadu, around 34, 000 did not attend the final examination on Monday amid Coronavirus scare. The reason for the huge absence has also been attributed to the suspension of vehicle movements in the state following lockdown.
The Puducherry government also made a similar announcement on Wednesday.
Tamil Nadu reported its first death due to Coronavirus on Wednesday. The total number of positive cases in the state now stands at 23.
