COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu: While Chennai sees Rapid rise, 4 Districts record no Active cases, and 6 Districts only one case each! Details Listed
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsTamil Nadu on Sunday, 3 May, reported 266 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state 3023. Of the 266 new cases, 203 were from Chennai alone.
As per the Health Ministry’s latest report, four districts in the state including Erode, Krishnagiri, The Nilgiris and Tuticorin have no active cases of COVID-19.
Six districts including Dharmapuri, Karur, Pudukottai, Sivaganga, Theni and Thirupathur have one COVID-19 case each.
On Sunday, 38 patients were discharged following treatment and that has brought the total number of discharged patients in Tamil Nadu to 1379.
The state has as many as 2362 suspected individuals in isolation wards while 37,206 are in home quarantine and 40 are in government quarantine facilities.
