In a tragedy, a 26-year-old agricultural student had committed suicide within Red Fort Hostel in Coimbatore. Sandesh Newpane, a Nepali student was pursuing his master's degree at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and his sudden decision to end his life came as a shocker to other students and the management of the university as well.

As per TOI report, Police suspect that a failed love affair might be the reason for the boy's suicide. Sandesh was found hanging from the topmost grill of his room around 1.30 am on August 22 (Thursday). The incident came to light when one of the students went to check on Sandesh's room as the lights were lit in the early hours. Then, the shocked student passed the information to the security guard who later called the police.

Reports suggest that Sandesh maintained a great academic performance and a very good student. A love affair might be the possible reason for his suicide. He hailed from Bharatpur in Chitwan region of Nepal and reportedly his friends in the hostel had stated that Sandeeh was in love with a girl in Kathmandu.

Sandesh and the girl had frequent telephonic conversations and the girl went to London recently. While his parents have been informed about the tragic incident, further investigations are underway to find out the exact cause of the boy's death.
