TN Government Extends Complete Lockdown In Madurai - Details!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsThe Tamil Nadu government on Saturday decided to extend the lockdown in Madurai and its adjoining areas till July 12. This decision comes in wake of the rising coronavirus cases.
According to news agency, ANI Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami said: "Lockdown extended till July 12 in Madurai and adjoining civic areas of the City - Madurai East and Madurai West, Paravai and Thiruparankundram town panchayats."
Currently, Tamil Nadu is the second worst-hit state in India due to the novel coronavirus. So far, Tamil Nadu has more than one lakh people infected and claimed nearly 1,400 lives, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
