Khushbu Sundar Meets With Accident in Tamil Nadu; Shares 'Fiery' Post After Mishap
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsBharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Khushbu Sundar met with an accident on Wednesday morning near Melmaruvathur town in Tamil Nadu after a tanker rammed into her vehicle.
According to news agency ANI, Khushbu escaped unhurt. Currently, the police have launched an investigation into the accident.
Taking to her social media handle, the politician informed about the incident saying, “With your blessings and God’s grace, I am safe. Will continue my journey towards Cuddalore to participate in VelYaatrai. Police are investigating the case. LordMurugan has saved us. My husband’s trust in him is seen,” Sundar tweeted, sharing photos of her damaged car.
“Request the press to understand that a container rammed into me and not the other way. My car was on the move in the right lane and this container came from nowhere and rammed into me. Police are investigating n questioning the driver to rule out any foul play,” she further added.
Khushbu Sundar was on her way to Cuddalore to participate in BJP’s Vel Yaatra campaign in Tamil Nadu ahead of the assembly election when the accident took place.
After her miraculous escape, she continued with her onward journey and also clarified that the truck was at fault and not her vehicle.
Hours after her accident, she thanked her fans and well wishers with a fiery post saying; "Thank you so much for all the inquiries n good wishes. I feel indebted. I am safe n continuing my journey towards Cuddalore. Nothing has stopped me before this, nothing will stop me now either. Zindagi har kadam ek nayi Jung hai. Jeet jaayenge hum tu agar sang hai #VelYaatrai"
(Zindagi har kadam ek nayi Jung hai. Jeet jaayenge hum tu agar sang hai #VelYaatrai" means - At every step of life there is danger...we can overpower it by fighting together.)
As per Indian Express report, the Tamil Nadu BJP is holding the yatra despite the state government banning it. The month-long rally, visiting six abodes of Lord Muruga and modelled on the rath yatra, was scheduled to begin November 6 from Tiruttani temple, in north of Tamil Nadu, and culminate at Tiruchendur temple, in the southern part of the state.
The ‘Vel Yatra’ is seen as an attempt by BJP to consolidate Hindu votes in the state. Meanwhile, check out the post below:
