According to reports, Congress president Rahul Gandhi is expected to visit Chennai today to visit ailing DMK patriarch M Karunanidhi. Reports suggest that Rahul Gandhi will visit Kauvery Hospital around 4 pm in the evening and enquire about the health of the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister.
The security has been strengthened at the hospital where the party cadres have gathered in large numbers to know about the health condition of their leader. Leaders have been paying visits to the hospital to enquire about Karunanidhi’s health from his family members including his son and party working president MK Stalin.
Citing the hospital’s medical bulletin on Sunday, Stalin said that the veteran leader’s condition is stable. He also reportedly added, “Doctors are giving him treatment. His condition is being closely monitored.”
