Chennai Meteorology Dept Announces Red Alert Warning for 4 TN districts
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsThe Chennai Meteorology Department (IMD Chennai) has announced red alert warning for 4 Tamil Nadu districts as per reports. The beginning of North-East monsoon led to heavy rains in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu for the past few days.
Therefore, the Regional Metrological Centre, Chennai has marked red alert warning for 4 districts including Theni, Dindigul, Nilgiris and Coimbatore. It is reported that extremely heavy rain could be expected in these 4 districts on October 22.
On the other side heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur in districts such as Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Salem, Vellore and Thiruvannamalai.
The Imdchennai further reports heavy rain possibility to 11 other districts such as Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, Nagapattinam, Thiruvarur, Pudukottai, Thanjavur, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Kanchipuram and Tiruvallur.
