Heavy rain predicted in next 24 hours in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsChennai Meteorological Centre reports that depression could form in Bay of Bengal and so Tamil NAdu and Pondicherry might see heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours. A few harbours in the northern parts of the state have received warning.
In the past 24 hours, Mayiladuthurai has received a rainfall of 15 cm maximum. Director Puviarasan, speaking to the reporters, said 11 districts will receive heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours.
Low winds has extended up to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, he said. Due to this, he said, there is a chance for formation of depression in the Bay of Bengal.
He has also warned the fishermen from Thiruvallur to Nagapattinam to not go fishing due to the heavy rainfall. Speaking of Chennai, he said, there will be light rainfall in the city.
