Chennai Metrology Dept: 'Heavy Rain' Predicted for '5 Days' in 9 Districts!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsThe Chennai metrological department has predicted heavy rain in 9 districts for the next 5 days. Due to convection, most of the districts in Tamil Nadu are likely to receive heavy rainfall as per the announcement by the Chennai Metrological department.
It is said that districts - Erode, Salem, Dharmapuri, Namakkal, Tiruppur, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Nagapattinam and Thanjavur would receive heavy rainfall as part of North-East monsoon.
As far as Chennai is concerned, hazy clouds would show up and drizzles in some parts of the city are expected. A maximum temperature of 34-degree Celsius is predicted in Chennai while minimum temperature is expected to be 27-degree celsius.
The North-East Monsoon is expected to hit Tamil Nadu from October 17 (Thursday). Therefore, heavy rainfall is expected for the next five days. The weather report of Chennai Metrological Department also indicated heavy rain with thunderstorms in the neighbouring states - Telangana, Karnataka and Andhra.
