TN - Founder of Shankar IAS Academy commits suicide

Founder of Shankar IAS Academy, D Shankaran was found dead in his residence in Mylapore, Chennai on Thursday.

 

Shankaran reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at his house in Mylapore. The reason for his suicide is not yet ascertained but believed to be due to his personal problems. Shankaran was rushed to the Royapettah Government Hospital by one of his friends where he was declared brought dead.

 

Shankaran had initiated Shankar IAS Academy in 2004 at Anna Nagar to train civil service aspirants. He had branches in Chennai, Bengaluru and several other places.
