Fire at commercial building in Chennai: 5 injured
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsAccording to reports, five people were injured after the ground floor of a three-storeyed commercial complex in Ashok Nagar caught fire on Saturday.
The fire broke out at 2:00 pm and created panic in the bustling neighbourhood. However, no casualties were reported. About 50 people were reportedly inside the building when the building caught fire.
The five people who were injured, inhaled smoke and fainted. They were rescued by the fire and rescue service personnel and bystanders. Reportedly there was an electric short circuit at a shop in the ground floor, which was the reason behind the fire.
