'Why did I wear Suit Coat?', EPS answers for his Trending Pictures!

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy had been on a 13-day Government holiday trip to the US, UK and Dubai to pull foreign investment for the growth of the state. He began his journey on August 28 and returned home (Tamil Nadu) on September 10 (Tuesday) at 3.00 AM in the morning.

The Chief Minister addressed the press at the Chennai airport regarding his trip to the three countries and also answered the question on his clothes he had worn during his foreign trip. The people of Tamil Nadu were quite amused to see EPS in Suite Coat and the pictures of him started trending on Social Media. On the other side, there was also a share of trolls including body shaming that did not go well with the ADMK cadres and humanitarians in general.

However, EPS handled the question with a settled smile and said that "It would be only better to wear their (referring to foreign investors) clothes in their place, especially when I want to attract them to invest in Tamil Nadu". Further, he talked about the growth of Dubai despite being a small city. As per the reports, EPS said that his foreign trip has collectively attracted Rs 8835 crore investment to Tamil Nadu.

It is said that Tamil Nadu youngsters would be employed in large numbers once the foreign investment yields industrial establishments in the state. Minister of School Education Sengottaiyan, Dindigul Seenivasan, S.P. Velumani, C.V. Shanmugam, Jayakumar and Kadambur Raju to name a few welcomed EPS at the airport.
