COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu: Death Toll Climbs to 53; 798 Fresh Cases Reported

Six persons succumbed to the virus on the date taking the death toll of the state to 53.

Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive today – 514/284/0
Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 5421/2579/2
Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities – 53 (37 government and 16 private)
Total number of samples tested till date – 2,54,899
Total number of samples tested today – 11,862
Total number of persons tested till date – 2,43,952
Total number of persons tested today – 11,584
Total number of suspected individuals in isolation ward admission – 4273
Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 2051
Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 92
