COVID-19: ONE DEATH, 66 NEW POSITIVE CASES IN TAMIL NADU; DETAILS LISTED
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsTamil Nadu on Saturday, 25 April, reported 66 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state to 1821. Of the 66 new cases, 43 were from Chennai alone.
The state’s death toll rose to 23 after it reported one death on the date.
The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of 25 April:
Total number of passengers under home quarantine – 27,277
Total number of passengers in government quarantine facilities – 25
Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities – 41 (30 government and 11 private)
Total number of samples tested till date – 80,110
Total number of samples tested today – 7,707
Total number of persons tested till date – 72,965
Total number of persons tested today – 7,131
Total number of suspected individuals in isolation ward admission – 1,865
Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 960
Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 94
Total number of active cases on date - 835
Total number of deaths till date - 23
Number of ventilators available – 3,371
Number of isolation beds available – 29,074
