COVID-19: One Death, 106 New Cases Reported in TN Today, Additional Details Listed!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsThe total number of COVID-19 cases in Tamil Nadu breached the 1000-mark after 106 people tested positive for the virus on Sunday, Health Secretary Beela Rajesh told reporters.
Death toll of the state stands at 11 after a 45-year-old woman from Chennai succumbed to the virus on Sunday.
Chennai has the highest number of Coronavirus cases in Tamil Nadu (199), followed by Coimbatore which has 119 cases.
As per Tamil Nadu Heath Department’s latest data, the state government has screened 2,10,538 passengers and has isolated 1890 suspected individuals in hospitals.
The state government has tested 10,655 samples of which 1075 have tested positive. 50 patients were discharged following treatment.
Tamil Nadu has 23 (14 Govt and 9 private) functioning COVID-19 testing facilities. A total of 3,371 ventilators and 29,074 isolation beds are available in the state.
