India Records More Than 2300 Positive Cases While Death Toll on Rapid Rise!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsThe Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Friday said that the total number of COVID19 positive cases has increased to 2301 in India, which includes 156 cured and discharged, 56 deaths and 1 migrated.
Most of the positive cases have been linked to a religious congregation that was held in Delhi's Nizamuddin area last month.
Earlier in the day, as per an IANS report, as many as 42 people in Uttar Pradesh tested positive for the virus who had attended the Delhi event. Looking at the recent updates, around 40 fresh cases have been reported in Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Goa, which has taken the total count to 2,301.
Highlighting about state wise graph on death count;
Maharashtra has reported the most deaths with 17
Telangana- 9
Gujarat 8
West Bengal 6
Punjab 5
Karnataka 3
Delhi 4
Jammu and Kashmir 2
Uttar Pradesh 2
Kerala 2
While, Tamil Nadu, Bihar and Himachal Pradesh have reported one death each.
Taking a look at the the highest number of coronavirus confirmed cases, Maharashtra tops the chart with 420 so far, followed by Tamil Nadu at 309 and Kerala at 286.
