COVID-19: Results of 3200 People Who Visited Chennai's Phoenix Mall Out!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsA total of 3200 people who had visited Chennai’s Phoenix Mall between 10 March and 17 March were tested for COVID-19 and all of their test results have come out to be negative, Greater Chennai Corporation Commissioner Prakash said on Tuesday.
After three employees of the Lifestyle store in Phoenix Mall tested positive for COVID-19, the Greater Chennai Corporation requested those who visited the mall between the above dates to stay cautious and report immediately to the Health Department if they develop any COVID-19 symptoms.
As of Monday, Tamil Nadu has reported 621 positive cases of COVID-19. Chennai with 110 cases tops the list followed by Coimbatore which has 59 cases.
The Tamil Nadu government has placed orders for 1 lakh rapid testing kits and as soon as the kits arrive, rapid testing will be carried out across the state, said Chief Minister Edappadai K Palanisamy.
